The intended Property Manager role is for an experienced person to work within a uniquely successful Company striving to provide an exemplary service to its Client Lessees, and Freeholders. The employment package will necessitate use of a Company car and the anticipated salary would be subject to experience.
This would be a no less challenging role than any other one associated with block management. However, the Company operates controlled and sensible systems, which remove the majority of the traditional hassle from the normal job spec. Accountancy issues, beyond the preparation of budgets and approval to finalised expenditure presentations from others, are removed from the Property Manager’s direct working remit.
The principal criteria has to be that somebody is reasonably accessible to Sutton and has at least 2 years’ Property Management experience. That would be the very minimum and ideally we would like somebody with enough experience to take over a portfolio of approximately 20 blocks (circa 750 units).
There will be a normal number of early evening meetings (usually within the office), and the candidate may feel ready to chair such meetings, and this can be compensated either by overtime payment or time off in lieu.
The locations of properties to be managed tend to be south of the river and within the M25.

Directorial and Managerial support is dedicated to assist in continuing to achieve that and therefore the candidate need not be in a position of knowing the industry inside out and having “set” ways of handling things. The role would suit an experienced person who has a desire to move into a more senior role. They should have knowledge of the major works processes.
The Company is now probably the leading locally based Company in north east Surrey, working from modern offices in Sutton.
The ideal candidate should live within thirty minutes’ drive time from Sutton and would need to be of calm disposition and customer relations orientated, be able to multi-task, be highly organised and to work to annual/monthly deadlines. The Company is looking for intelligent, articulate, smiling personnel who are not easily fazed, are of an even disposition, and wish to receive support from a reciprocal Management team.
The Company will encourage self-motivated continuing learning process to lead to membership of the IRPM or the new RICS equivalent.
